Kondwani Fidel is a poet, author, and an Emmy Award winning Writer. He uses storytelling to address global issues like education reform and civil rights. Fidel most recently authored and voiced a new animated short film for The Nature Conservancy titled βTo The Jungles That Be,β which highlights inequities in community access to nature. His words, particularly "You Can't Clip These Wings," defined the Baltimore Orioles' City Connect initiative. Recognized by NPR as a smart young Black voice, Fidel has been featured on The Tamron Hall Show and honored by Baltimore Magazine. He authored "The Antiracist," "Hummingbirds in The Trenches," and "Raw Wounds.β Fidel was born and raised, and currently based in Baltimore.
