The menopausal transition is accompanied by cardiometabolic changes that impact the risk for and management of diabetes. This presentation will explore benefits and concerns associated with hormonal and non-hormonal drug therapies commonly used for the treatment of menopausal symptoms in those with diabetes. Case scenarios will focus on individualized decision making to balance menopausal symptom management, optimal glucose management, and cardiovascular safety. Considerations for supporting communication of menopause and diabetes goals across the care team will be emphasized.
